Read Ziegler, Interim CEO, Board Member and Co-Founder

Read has spent the past 25 years advising and growing successful companies with a focus on data-driven performance. He has served as a sales and marketing executive and strategy advisor to some of the world’s largest companies, as well as innovative start-ups. Read has founded or been on the front-end of many technology-oriented ventures, including one of the first e-billing companies, a virtual reality insights company and a market insights and analytics firm - each of which achieved successful exits at double-digit multiples. 

Read currently runs REVELOCITY, a Marketing Analytics and Strategy firm based in Atlanta, GA. REVELOCITY’s clients include Fiserv, Blackbaud, Jackson Healthcare and PGi.

Svetlana Samoilova, CTO

Svetlana has been engaged with Mixed Reality technology for the last 7 years and in consumer electronics product development for the last 17 years. At Apple, Svetlana managed company-wide, cross-functional programs, roadmaps, and product planning, ultimately shipping over 300+ million devices, as the Director of Programs for Mobile Devices.

Subsequently, Svetlana joined Microsoft as part of the HoloLens product Leadership Team, developing Microsoft HoloLens version 1 as the Senior Director of Hardware and System Engineering. Svetlana has broad experience in hardware, software and firmware, as well as the whole life cycle from concept to mass manufacturing.

Rick Morrison, PhD, Optical Engineer

Rick began his post-graduate career as a member of a forward-looking work group at Bell Laboratories doing research and development of free space photonic switching system architectures. Rick was in charge of designing and producing large-scale computer generated holograms used as illumination devices for multiple system demonstrators.

Rick is a founding member of Distant Focus Corporation, which has been awarded multiple contracts for DARPA projects (MOSAIC, AWARE, SCENICC) and has also worked on many commercial optic and imaging projects.

 

Becky Bulmer, Finance Manager

Becky has more than 20 years of hands-on controller experience in various industries such as life safety, telecom, technology, and manufacturing environments. She has built accounting and payroll departments from the ground up and has extensive experience implementing HRIS and ERP systems for companies with up to 1200 employees.

Becky has also worked as a financial analyst and has considerable budgeting and forecasting knowledge. Her corporate management experience also includes being a key business partner providing trend analysis, KPI’s, and other robust management reporting which will help our growth and development.

General Wesley K. Clark, Board Member

General Wesley K. Clark is a businessman, educator, writer and commentator. He is active in energy, finance, and security. During his business career he has served as an advisor, consultant or board member of over ninety private and publicly traded companies. A best-selling author, General Clark has written four books and is a frequent contributor on TV and to newspapers.

Clark retired as a four-star general after 38 years in the United States Army. He graduated first in his class at West Point and completed degrees in Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford University as a Rhodes scholar. His awards include the Presidential Medal of Freedom, Defense Distinguished Service Medal, Silver star, bronze star, purple heart, honorary knighthoods from the British and Dutch governments, and numerous other awards including the Department of State Distinguished Service Award and various honorary doctorates and civilian honors.

Jack McDougall, Board Member

 

Phil Garfinkle, Advisor

Phil is a highly successful technology visionary, bringing a wealth of experience as an entrepreneur, inventor, CEO, and deal maker, with a focus on emerging technologies. He is a five-time successful entrepreneur and has been the senior operating manager in many successful organizations.

Phil holds many patents in photography, imaging, and distributed storage technologies. He was responsible for developing technology and products like AOL’s You’ve Got Pictures, Kodak PhotoNet, Sony ImageStation, and the digital PhotoLab. He has managed large ($500M+) government contracts developing Personal Computer software and hardware technologies. Phil is also the past Chairman of The Johns Hopkins Technology Advisory Board.

Clayton James, Consultant

Clayton has been intimately involved in the growth and development of many small companies across numerous industries, from the inside as a founder and outside as an operations analyst and consultant. Clayton has substantial experience breaking down complex technical, operational and financial challenges into blueprints for success.

Clayton has extensive experience evaluating early stage technologies and validating business plans built around these technologies. He previously worked in conjunction with The Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab to create product roadmaps for licensed technologies to develop, productize, and commercialize said technologies for broad market release.
